SEM Haven is looking for a Homemaker to create a positive and pleasant environment for residents by assisting them with daily life activities, ensuring services are provided in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.
Requirements
- State Tested Nurse Aide certificate or Feeding Assistant certificate preferred
- Food safety training preferred
- Must be able to speak, read & write the English language in an understandable manner.
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of position can be fully met.
- MOBILITY - Able to move freely about
- LIFTING - Regularly lifting of up to 25 pounds
- STOOPING/BENDING - Regularly
Responsibilities
- He or she is cross-trained to perform housekeeping, meal service and personal care service to assist residents in daily life in the household.
- assist with food preparation/serving
- picking up clutter, removing trash, cleaning spills
- transporting residents
- attending household meetings/learning circles
- fulfilling simple requests for residents
- Ability to implement and evaluate the effectiveness of dietary programs
