The Oregon State Hospital (OSH) needs to transition outdated systems to mature and stable technologies and ensure these systems meet the ongoing operational needs of an inpatient psychiatric hospital.
Requirements
- MS suite of tools, inclusive of Access, SQL
- Technical requirements gathering, debugging, re-engineering, and system migration
- MS Power Apps and Flows, SharePoint Lists, SQL, Python, Node.JS
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Advanced capabilities within the MS suite of tools
- Experience migrating tools and technology
- Experience supporting a 24/7/365 operation
Responsibilities
- Develop tools and usage conventions for process standardization
- Assist end users on an as needed basis
- Migrate access database applications to a SQL backend
- Identify common use requirements across multiple operational systems and develop standardized approaches to workflow and information management
- Design, develop, diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix software errors for existing and new MS Access applications and databases
- Work independently with OSH staff to assist local development of department level MS Access databases by providing expert advice and guidance
- Support non-technical users and debug systems
Other
- Three (3) years of information systems experience OR An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Criminal and driving records check, along with a drug screen that meets OHA/OSH criteria at the time of hire, and throughout employment
- Ability to work in a hybrid position, represented by a union, SEIU
- Must have authorization to work in the United States
- Must complete I-9 documentation and confirm authorization to work in the United States within three days of hire
