Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) is seeking a HPC Linux System Administrator to support TOS II at Arnold Air Force Base, TN. The role involves providing HPC Cluster support, as well as maintenance and support of Linux Systems and Peripherals for the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.
Requirements
- HPC cluster operation, management, and maintenance using the Nvidia Bright Cluster Manager software.
- System backup execution, application updates and security configuration maintenance.
- Vulnerability assessment and management.
- Handle support, maintenance, repair, and installation of associated Linux and Windows workstations, peripheral equipment, and software applications.
- System security configuration, hardening, patching, and monitoring, including implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and other DoD security policies.
- Experience with installation, configuration and troubleshooting the following: UnixLinuxWindows workstation and server OS environments, hardware, software, mass storage, HPC, patching, ACAS, VLAN’s, VMWare, OpenShift, NetApp ONTAP, Active Directory, Veeam, and SolarWinds NPM.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible).
Responsibilities
- Serve as system administrator for any Linux based servers and workstations with specific responsibility for:
- HPC cluster operation, management, and maintenance using the Nvidia Bright Cluster Manager software.
- System backup execution, application updates and security configuration maintenance.
- Support to analysts for managing resource availability and data transfers.
- Vulnerability assessment and management.
- Handle support, maintenance, repair, and installation of associated Linux and Windows workstations, peripheral equipment, and software applications.
- System security configuration, hardening, patching, and monitoring, including implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and other DoD security policies.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field with a minimum of 2 years of progressively relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must currently possess or commit to obtaining any requisite certifications required for assuming administrative role in accordance with DoD 8140 within 6 months of hiring date.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.
- Current US Citizenship required.
- The employee is expected to work on-site at our Arnold AFB Location.
