HDR is looking to hire a Hydropower Engineering Manager to lead their Southern California hydropower engineering practice, focusing on business development, operations management, and project execution to serve their Resources and Water hydropower clients.
Requirements
- Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience
- Experienced in development and management of diverse teams
- 15 years of relevant experience, including 10 years of hydropower, dam safety or hydropower-related experience.
- CA Professional Engineering registration (Electrical, Mechanical or Civil).
- Strong understanding and track record of successful project execution including management of schedule, budget and quality and monitoring client satisfaction.
- Demonstrated consulting business or professional services operations experience, including managing multi-discipline project teams; or demonstrated willingness and desire to engage in these aspects.
- 10 years of experience
Responsibilities
- leading the hydropower engineering practice in the SoCal Area
- serving as a PM or technical lead on projects
- helping grow the local team in SoCal
- collaborating with other Areas and teams for the successful execution of SoCal hydropower projects
- growing and managing hydro engineering and design teams within SoCal’s Resources business group
- coordinating activities of and among hydropower engineering staff within SoCal’s Resources and Water teams
- coordinating activities of SoCal hydropower engineering staff in-concert with our National Hydropower Practice
