The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is looking to solve the problem of idling complaints by designing and implementing a Citizen Idling Complaints application system, and the Idling IT Developer position is intended to assist in this effort.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and design Dynamics CRM/365 and Angular/C-Sharp business applications for the Idling Complaint program including normalization of data, writes event-driven procedures, screen design and documentation.
  • Perform system analysis, review existing system applications to recommend the most advantageous distributed data processing solution which will benefit the bureau.
  • Perform upgrades, maintenance, and installation of domain-based network applications and ensure that they are properly always administered and fully functional.
  • Design and create MSSQL database system: It includes migration of data, monitoring data anomalies in the database, and creating SSRS reports.
  • Create technical documentation on applications that are clear, concise, and understandable by other team members.
  • Understanding business requirements, translating those requirements into functional requirements and mock-ups of the proposed design, implementing the solution, verifying that the application is according to specifications, and ensuring that the application meets end user expectations.
  • Work both as part of a team and in solo to complete assigned tasks as part of the delivery of a business solution.

Other

  • A masters degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • 12 months of satisfactory full-time specialized experience in computer applications development planning, design, configuration, installation, troubleshooting, integration, performance monitoring, maintenance, enhancement, and security management
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university AND 24 months of satisfactory full-time specialized experience
  • A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State’s Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization AND 24 months of satisfactory full-time specialized experience
  • New York City Residency is not required for this position
