Hitachi Digital Services is looking to solve complex industrial challenges in manufacturing by designing, developing, and implementing advanced industrial IoT solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years’ IIoT / Ignition development experience (Perspective, Scripting)
- At least 1–2 full-cycle Ignition implementation projects (manufacturing/industrial clients preferred)
- 10+ years of automation experience with strong Python and Java development skills
- SQL/Timescale DB expertise for time-series data modeling and analytics
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript for responsive industrial dashboards
- Hands-on experience with MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus, HiveMQ integrations
- DevOps skills: Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, CI/CD automation
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement advanced industrial IoT solutions.
- Lead deployment projects from design to execution in partnership with client teams.
- Build modular, scalable architectures using Python, Java, SQL/Timescale DB.
- Integrate industrial protocols (MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus, HiveMQ) for secure data connectivity.
- Develop responsive UIs.
- Automate deployments via Kubernetes/GitHub Actions.
- Support CI/CD pipelines.

- Based in Jefferson City, Missouri, with an initial daily onsite presence.
- Co-lead development efforts with client technical leads, ensuring alignment, problem resolution, and strong stakeholder relationships.
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills for co-leadership with client teams.
- Familiarity with SDLC principles (Agile/Waterfall), QA/test processes, and deployment best practices
- Industry 4.0 background, Cloud IoT (AWS/Azure), IIoT security practices
