Pico is looking for experts in image pipeline to join them to build their AR/VR imaging team.

Requirements

  • Expertise in camera pipeline development, image signal processing (ISP), and image quality evaluation.
  • Proficiency in developing algorithms for image enhancement, including HDR, color correction, and low-light optimization.
  • Experience with machine vision applications, particularly involving AI-based systems like vision-language models.
  • Knowledge of power-efficient algorithm design for wearable or embedded devices.
  • Familiarity with systematic tuning methodologies and automated camera calibration tools.
  • Experience with AI-driven imaging solutions.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for image quality testing and automation.

Responsibilities

  • Drive development of camera pipelines and tuning processes to optimize image quality for smart wearable devices.
  • Implement and innovate algorithms for image and video enhancement, addressing challenges like low-light performance, noise reduction, and dynamic range.
  • Establish scalable methodologies for camera tuning and image quality evaluation.
  • Develop metrics and benchmarks for assessing and maintaining high image quality standards.
  • Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to ensure seamless integration of imaging systems.
  • Align camera system outputs with machine vision tasks and vision-language models for wearable applications.
  • Manage and mentor a team of imaging experts or provide technical leadership in cross-functional settings.

Other

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of smart wearable design constraints and user experience considerations.
