Verizon is looking to support its Global Event Management Center (GEMC) and Business Continuity efforts by preparing for, responding to, and recovering from significant events that could impact Verizon operations and assets. This internship aims to provide valuable experience in monitoring, analyzing, and disseminating situational information and intelligence related to these events.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree majoring in Artificial Intelligence, Geographic Information Systems, Incident Management, Meteorology or related majors with a graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
  • Proficiency in AI prompt skills and concepts.
  • Interest in or courses completed in data analytics, meteorology, emergency management, artificial intelligence or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in maintaining documented procedures and new plan development.
  • Learning and utilizing tools, systems, and software within the ISAC (Information Sharing and Analysis Center) and GEMC.
  • Leveraging AI to improve internal processes and efficiencies.
  • Supporting the creation and review of ISAC reports.
  • Assisting with the creation and review of Crisis Management Team Awareness Reports for event monitoring and situational awareness.
  • Supporting slide deck creation/updates for GEMC.
  • Assisting with the coordination of GEMC activations, including scheduling, preparing status reports, and conference call note-taking.

  • Ability to participate in our hybrid 10-week internship that takes place from June 2026 to August 2026 working a full-time schedule.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
  • Willing and able to travel.
  • Willing and able to relocate.
  • You must be currently enrolled in a degree program and be in good academic standing to be considered.
