Requirements
- Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and detailed instructions.
- Proficient in operating complex measurement instruments and selecting appropriate inspection methods.
- Solid understanding of industry-standard sampling plans and inspection protocols.
- Basic math proficiency, including fractions, decimals, percentages, and graph interpretation.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Visual acuity including close vision, color differentiation, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct visual, mechanical, and functional inspections, analysis, and testing of incoming materials to ensure compliance with company specifications and industry standards.
- Utilize specialized instruments and measurement tools to evaluate a wide range of components and raw materials.
- Complete and maintain accurate documentation, including inspection records, data entry, and reports for management.
- Support audits, surveys, and certification processes by collecting and providing relevant data.
- Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); recommend and implement process improvements.
- Handle hazardous materials with care, adhering to special handling requirements.
Other
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in quality assurance or inspection is beneficial.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to stand, sit, reach, and perform repetitive bench work for extended periods.
- Must wear personal protective equipment, including steel-toe footwear.
