Brunswick, a global marine leader, is looking to transform vision into reality by innovating next-generation technologies that transform experiences on the water and beyond, and is seeking an Industrial Designer to lead user interface (UI) design to help shape the future of marine experiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Interaction Design
- 5 years of experience in product design, with at least 2 years in UI or digital interface design
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both physical product design and UI/UX work
- Proficiency in tools such as Alias, KeyShot, Adobe Creative Suite, and Figma or Adobe XD
- Experience designing for digital displays, touch interfaces, or embedded systems
- Familiarity with marine, automotive, or outdoor recreation industries
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and responsive design principles
Responsibilities
- Concept Development: Generate innovative product concepts through sketching, 3D modeling, and rendering
- UI/UX Design and Integration: Collaborate with UX designers and software engineers to design intuitive and visually compelling user interfaces for marine displays and controls
- Human-Centered Design: Apply ergonomic and usability principles to both physical and digital touchpoints
- Prototyping: Develop physical and digital prototypes for user testing and stakeholder review
- Design Research: Conduct trend analysis, competitive benchmarking, and user research to inform design direction
- CMF Strategy: Define and apply color, material, and finish strategies that align with Mercury’s premium brand identity
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with key functional stakeholders to ensure design feasibility, viability while delivering end user desirability
