JE Dunn is looking to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality within their Industrial Engineering Department by hiring an Industrial Engineering Manager to analyze existing processes, implement new technologies and quality control initiatives, and oversee process improvement and waste reduction activities.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in using industrial engineering software tools (e.g., CAD, simulation software)
  • Proficiency with CAM software - Intermediate
  • Knowledge of construction or manufacturing processes and equipment - Advanced
  • Ability to read, interpret and evaluate drawings, specifications, building codes and other technical product and material data – Advanced
  • Knowledge of industrial engineering principles
  • Proven ability to successfully lead and manage process improvement projects
  • Proficiency in construction quality software tools

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes existing processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies or productivity issues and manages implementation of appropriate timelines, schedules and budgets.
  • Implements technologies and drives new processes and quality control initiatives that resolve workflow problems, maximize product or process reliability, improve productivity, reduce waste and minimize cost.
  • Identifies and manages the implementation of improvements in methods, procedures, equipment, staffing or workflow that are aimed at improving productivity, process integrity and quality.
  • Oversees process improvement and waste reduction activities using lean tools such as value stream mapping, time studies, flow diagrams, Kaizen events and SERVQUAL analysis.
  • Evaluates and analyzes ideas to manage the reduction of operating costs and the increase of corporate profitability through end-to-end process improvement.
  • Oversees the development of documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Develops and oversees the monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) to continuously track improvement.
