Nissan is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Engineering Intern to assist with special engineering projects, daily operations, and maintenance tasks within their Smyrna, TN plant, aiming to shape the future of mobility and drive innovation.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Engineering - mechanical, mechatronics, or electrical
- Advanced knowledge of word processors, spreadsheets, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to create specialized applications or products of a highly technical nature
Responsibilities
- Handling special engineering project(s) as determined by the department, including job plans, material procurements, and budget guidelines.
- Assisting the Supervisor in the following to learn a broad scope of maintenance tasks required for successful daily operations, such as shift meetings, downtime, and major breakdown reporting, monitoring production, ensuring safety checks, and training.
- Handling work orders, job scheduling and assignments, PM system assignments, root cause analysis, and covering as an interim supervisor if needed, when deemed ready, and with support.

- Degree Level: Sophomore, Junior, Senior
- Preferred Degree: Engineering in mechanical, mechatronics, or electrical
- Zero to 1 years of related experience at a professional level.
- GPA of 3.0 or above _(Candidates will be required to provide an official or unofficial transcript during the application process for verification.) _
- Ability to perform work onsite at the Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant.
