DataDirect Networks (DDN) is looking for an engineer to support the Infinia program across a blend of project coordination, lab operations, and product deployment activities to ensure the success of Infinia by managing hardware validation and certification efforts, maintaining a robust lab environment, and enabling effective testing on bare-metal infrastructure.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in data center operations, lab engineering, or systems infrastructure management.
• Demonstrated project management experience with at least 2 years of experience in complex, cross-functional environments.
• Proven ability to organize technical workstreams, track progress, and coordinate across teams and vendors.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across both hardware and Linux-based software environments.
• Familiarity with system provisioning, drive management, and basic networking and connectivity.
• Background in storage systems, data center infrastructure, or enterprise hardware environments.
• Familiarity with DDN products or similar high-performance computing/storage solutions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with external hardware vendors and internal stakeholders to plan and execute hardware validation and certification efforts for Infinia.
• Manage schedules, deliverables, and communication across teams to ensure platform readiness and qualification milestones are met.
• Track and manage incoming hardware, from receipt through installation and integration into the lab environment.
• Take full ownership of the Infinia lab, ensuring systems are properly racked, cabled, powered, and provisioned for engineering use.
• Support requests from engineering teams for system configuration changes, drive swaps, connectivity updates, and other hardware-related tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues encountered during system setup, deployment, or testing, escalating as appropriate.
• Deploy and configure Infinia on bare-metal systems in the lab, supporting iterative validation testing of features, functionality, and performance.
