The City of Jacksonville is seeking a Senior Software Developer to develop and maintain mission critical applications in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively with various teams to analyze, design, build, and support in-house developed and COTS applications.
Requirements
- Knowledge of ASP.net, VB.net, C-Sharp, different .Net Frameworks, AJAX, JQuery, JSON, XML, CSS.
- Knowledge of building consumer-facing mobile applications (iOS, Android) by using responsive design or native platforms.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Kentico and Document Management systems is a plus
- Knowledge and experience with Oracle ERP and/or CRM are a plus.
- Ability to develop code in .Net, MVC, Angular, bootstrap, MSSQL, Java, PHP, J2EE
- Ability to use TFS and GIT as Source Control
- Ability to define and follow coding standards
Responsibilities
- Analyzes, designs, develops, configures, and maintains applications and services by following standards and best practices.
- Installs, configures, updates, and diagnoses hosted, SaaS and On-Premise vendor applications (i.e., Oracle ERP, Oracle CX/CRM, etc.).
- Performs development using Agile and/or waterfall methodology.
- Prepares detailed technical specifications and system design documents.
- Identify and resolve gaps between requirements and technical design.
- Works closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
- Ensures that solutions are aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization's architectural standards.

- Seven (7) years of education and/or professional experience in Information Technologies with at least three years of .NET application development or software configuration work experience.
- Excellent organizational, written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Display a high degree of inquisitiveness and an eagerness to learn at a detailed and abstract level.
- Highly self-motivated and organized, with a strong business sense to capture and fulfill the business requirements for all products and articulate in an architecture model.
- Strong passion and thirst to keep up with new industry trends and standards.
