NYC Department of Finance (DOF) needs an Informatica Developer to design and develop mappings, transformations, sessions, workflows, and deploy integration solutions to support the Citywide Payment Applications Unit, which collects revenue and fees for the Department of Finance and 30 other NYC agencies.
Requirements
- 3+ years of Informatica ETL development experience.
- Informatica PowerCenter 10 and beyond experience, a strong plus.
- 3 years’ experience programing PL/SQL with Oracle.
- 3 years’ experience with a UNIX/Linux platform.
- Informatica-certified ETL Developer a strong plus.
- In-depth knowledge of Informatica Support Console.
- Use of Shell Scripting in Linux 8.x environment a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Code ETL data loads and transformations both for adding new data transformations and for modifying existing transformations.
- Code PL/SQL Queries as part of the ETL Development.
- Provide recommendations for development and coding approaches.
- Assesses process gaps and identifies opportunities for improvement; creates functional deliverables.
- Translate business requirements provided by Business Analysts to DB and Informatica architecture.
- Provide analysis and tuning of current code to maximize workflow efficiencies.
- Troubleshoot issues, provide timely restoration of service, conduct root cause analysis, and make recommendations for long-term solutions.

- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position; or, Education and/or experience which is equivalent to above.
- Availability to support after-hour operational issues.
- New York City Residency is not required for this position

- This position may be eligible for remote work up to 2 days per week, pursuant to the Remote Work Pilot Program agreed between the City and the Collective Bargaining Unit representing employees serving in the civil service title.
