Children's Mercy needs an Informatics Applications Analyst to act as a technical Health Informatics and Technology (HIT) subject matter expert for clinical applications, manage projects, and provide technical support to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
- Epic Beaker training and/or build experience.
- Epic Beaker certification preferred
- At least one application-specific Epic certification relevant to the department (determined by role leadership) Required within 120 days of hire.
- Must complete Epic certification training if not already Epic certified in the most recent version of the Epic EHR product.
Responsibilities
- Serves as the technical Health Informatics and Technology (HIT) subject matter expert for the clinical applications.
- Manages projects and programs in assigned area (Providers, Nursing, Pharmacy, Allied Health, and/or Laboratory/Radiology) and assists with more complex projects.
- Maintains and provides technical support for assigned clinical applications.
- Develops, implements, and effectively uses clinical technologies to enhance patient care.
- Collaborates to positively impact patient safety and care quality.
- Serves as a Health informatics resource for clinical departments

- Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of clinical experience in Health Informatics, Information Systems, or Information Technology experience OR Associate's Degree and 5-7 years of clinical experience in Health Informatics, Information Systems, or Information Technology experience OR High School Diploma and 7+ years of clinical experience in Health Informatics, Information Systems, or Information Technology experience.
- Laboratory experience preferred.
