At Daimler Truck, the Driver Experience team focuses on digital on-truck solutions and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) to provide innovative solutions to customers and drivers. The role is to be a global feature, system, and function owner for HMI related topics, ensuring quality and timely delivery of these solutions.
Requirements
- Experience: 3 years in features, system, function development
- Tools: Vector tools, Monaco, Diagnostic Link, Jira, Confluence, Cplace, MS Office
- Strong background in features, systems and functions development incl. processes, methodologies, and tools
- MUST HAVE experience with infotainment system (radios, multimedia, CarPlay, Android Auto, phone connectivity, …)
- Experience with project management
- Experience with automotive development processes
- Experience with Engineering of commercial vehicles
Responsibilities
- Lead the global development of features, systems and functions in the area of HMI
- Create technical concepts, requirements and specifications, project coordination and validation
- Align and manage scope definition and scope changes incl. bug fixes
- Create, align, track, maintain the related timeline globally
- Align, create, and manage functional requirements and specifications incl. functional and non-functional aspects.
- Ensure implementation and validation/verification of deliverables with internal and external partners
- Conduct component verification and validation activities to ensure system and feature functionalities meet requirements.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in a electrical engineering or related field and prefer 2+ years of relevant experience
- Coordinate global stakeholders (e.g. requesters, implementation teams, supplier, projects)
- Oversee project responsibilities, including stakeholder communication, milestone planning, and risk management, to meet on-time delivery goals.
- Coordinate work packages, schedules, and supplier interactions to ensure project alignment and smooth delivery across global teams.
- Strong skills in communication and team coordination across global teams (considering different cultural backgrounds) especially with the US, Germany, and India
