JPMorgan Chase is looking to hire an Infrastructure Engineer III to play a pivotal role in improving the data and systems running at scale within their infrastructure, ensuring end-to-end monitoring of applications and addressing potential capacity risks.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification on networking concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
- Knowledge and 3+ years experience with network load balancing technologies (F5).
- Experience with F5 Hypervisors and modules including LTM, GTM/DNS.
- Experience with infrastructure automation frameworks such as Ansible.
- Good scripting skills and experience with programmatic methods of network device interaction, configuration, and lifecycle management.
- Good understanding of multiple infrastructure technologies and protocols like DNS, network routing, switching, firewalls, and proxies.
- Experienced in using Python, REST, API, and JSON.
Responsibilities
- Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end-to-end monitoring of applications.
- Design and test network solutions, setup labs, run proof of concepts and drive automation.
- Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems.
- Drives daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applications.
- Partners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediations.
- Considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications.
- Be accountable for making decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applications.
