Nsight is looking to solve the problem of designing, deploying, and operating core service provider infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance across compute, storage, and networking platforms.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on expertise with VMware, Kubernetes, and KVM in production environments.
- Proven experience managing Cisco UCS, Dell server platforms, NetApp storage, and SP-grade switching infrastructure.
- Familiarity with automation and orchestration frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Helm).
- Virtualization Platforms: VMware vSphere/ESXi, Kubernetes (K8s), KVM.
- Server Hardware: Cisco UCS, Dell PowerEdge.
- Storage Systems: NetApp appliances and SAN/NAS solutions.
- Networking: Cisco and Dell switching hardware (datacenter and service provider edge), Palo Alto Firewalls.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor an engineering team supporting mission-critical service provider infrastructure.
- Define and enforce standards for infrastructure reliability, security, and scalability in a carrier-class environment.
- Direct patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management of virtualization, compute, and storage hardware in production networks.
- Oversee day-to-day infrastructure operations, ensuring high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) readiness.
- Monitor KPIs (uptime, latency, capacity utilization) and optimize systems for telco-scale workloads.
- Architect resilient, distributed infrastructure for mobile core, edge computing, and service provider workloads.
- Implement proactive patch management, vulnerability remediation, and hardware lifecycle planning.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years in infrastructure/network engineering, with 2+ years in leadership capacity.
- Ability to balance operational stability with rapid service innovation.
- Serve as escalation point for critical infrastructure incidents affecting service delivery.
- Coordinate with NOC, SOC, and network engineering teams for integrated operations.
