Silgan is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Manager to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of their IT infrastructure, ensuring it remains secure, reliable, and scalable to support business growth.
Requirements
- 5+ years of direct experience in networking, systems, and cybersecurity.
- Proficiency in network security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and SIEM solutions.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and TCP/IP fundamentals.
- Solid understanding of systems communication needs on critical business paths.
- Experience with security compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex issues and deliver effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor teams that design, implement, and maintain IT/BT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and data centers.
- Develop and manage budgets supporting IT/BT infrastructure and maintenance.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Coordinate telecom network circuit provisioning and ongoing management.
- Implement and manage security measures that protect IT/BT systems and data.
- Oversee software and licensing management.
- Lead IT infrastructure projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
Other
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field experience required.
- 10–15 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience managing technical teams and building collaborative environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
