The University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture needs to implement and support technology for research and academic activities, including network infrastructure, research software, and end-user support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Educational Technology, or related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience supporting end-users in a higher education environment
  • Familiarity with specific software, industry standards, or relevant regulations
  • Proficiency in using tools, techniques, or methods, such as data analysis, project management, or customer service
  • Ability to manage and coordinate work with contractors and vendors
  • Proficiency in English
  • Strong documentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Implement and support technology for research and academic activities
  • Maintain network infrastructure, including indoor/outdoor wireless networks
  • Provide end-user support for desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, and accessories/peripherals
  • Oversee the deployment and maintenance of technology infrastructure supporting research and academic activities
  • Facilitate faculty and student use of technology in research and academic settings
  • Provide training and support for research software and tools
  • Assist in the development of data management plans and research data repositories

  • Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language to non-technical staff and end users
  • Keen attention to detail, memory of patterns, and interest in problem-solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects/tasks concurrently, prioritize requests, and complete assignments within an estimated timeframe
  • Solid relationship management and performance management skills
  • Ability to motivate and direct team members
  • Skilled at organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking
  • Criminal Background Check required
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
