Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications such as Excel, Lists, PowerPoint, Planner, Project, and Word.
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge in project management methodologies, tools and techniques, including experience configuring and maintaining those tools.
  • Ability to quickly master new applications and technologies.
  • Professional interest in concepts such as artificial intelligence, automation, generative AI, innovation, and legal technology.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience coordinating innovation, knowledge management or technology projects and collaborating with lawyers.
  • Experience working in a law firm or professional services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the lifecycle of innovation projects through scoping, planning, execution, testing, and evaluation.
  • Assess client and practice group needs and contribute to project prioritization discussions that support business goals.
  • Draft business cases, executive summaries, and project plans with dependencies.
  • Define project success criteria and ensure team understanding throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in project team meetings, tracking progress and documenting issues and risks for escalation.
  • Proactively monitor project progress, update task status, and prepare status reports for senior management review.
  • Engage in problem-solving efforts to maintain project timelines and deliverables.

Other

  • Undergraduate degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication and presentation skills and ability to work effectively with different functions at the firm.
  • Highly developed organizational ability, sound judgment and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with a developed ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently with a high degree of professionalism and client service orientation.
