L3Harris is looking for an Inspector C to ensure that composite and machined parts, circuit card assemblies, and commercial parts meet specified standards, drawings, and requirements through in-process and incoming inspections.
Requirements
- ANSI Y14.5 GD&T experience
- CMM experience/Romer Arm operation experience
- Experience and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience in micro circuits, circuit card assemblies and/or electromechanical assemblies.
- Experience evaluating complex electronic hardware, under magnification, to IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, J-STD-001
- Fundamental understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards
Responsibilities
- Provides detailed in-process and incoming inspections on flight vehicle composite components, machined parts, and assemblies using detailed drawings and established processes to verify conformance to manufacturing and design requirements.
- Inspects machined parts, composite parts, and assemblies for dimensional accuracy, using precision measuring instruments, templates, jigs, and fixtures.
- Visually inspects composite parts and assemblies for voids, porosity, delamination, and other physical characteristics.
- Examine products for compliance with workmanship standards and proper installation of correct components, hardware, and wiring.
- Documents production non-conformances in accordance with prescribed procedures and processes as required.
- Reviews of new or modified drawings and/or work instructions for compliance to quality standards and recommends changes as required.
- Verifies that final inspections and data packages for product shipments are complete.
Other
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- Past inspection of military or aerospace products experience
- Knowledge and/or experience with Agile/PdM
- Strong ability to focus, prioritize, and multi-task successfully to drive tasks to closure to support customer commitments and business objectives.
- The ability to work independently and with little direction
