Baxter is looking to solve issues related to quality control and assurance by hiring an inspector to test, measure, and visually inspect parts and assemblies, ensuring they meet quality requirements and supporting efficient operations.
Requirements
- Must be proficient in the use of multi-dimensional testing and gauging equipment to include optical comparators, computerized vision measuring systems, electronic test equipment in addition to any other manual precision gages.
- Must be proficient in the use of Intergraph, CAD and Telnet systems for viewing and plotting current blueprint and procedure cards.
- Must have basic knowledge of GMP’s, SOP’s and FDA requirements.
- As needed, document and/or chart production data to aid in problem identification, quality feedback and production scheduling.
- Troubleshoot problems when necessary.
- Evaluate defective material and tooling, faulty operations, questionable conditions and potential work stoppages.
- May require the use of computer and telecommunication device.
Responsibilities
- Perform all required duties to test, measure and visually inspect purchased, fabricated, formed and painted parts as well as assemblies and sub-assemblies.
- Must be proficient in all areas of receiving inspection and work with minimum supervision.
- Must be proficient in the use of multi-dimensional testing and gauging equipment to include optical comparators, computerized vision measuring systems, electronic test equipment in addition to any other manual precision gages.
- Accurately document inspection results in the on-line MIS system.
- Must be proficient in the use of Intergraph, CAD and Telnet systems for viewing and plotting current blueprint and procedure cards.
- Assist Design Engineering in the development and evaluation of new testing equipment and procedures.
- Perform multi-vary studies by utilizing a wide assortment of gauging and equipment.
Other
- Must pass Inspector I test
- High School Diploma or (GED) General Education Degree (applies to anyone hired after 1997)
- Coordinate and support Manufacturing, Engineering, QA and Supply Management in addition to communicating with suppliers to ensure all quality requirements are met or exceeded.
- Participate in team activities and problem solving sessions as required.
- Train, instruct and assist other operators in their duties as required to ensure a quality product and smooth flow.
