Siemens is looking to ensure the highest standards of safety and reliability in their rail vehicles through meticulous inspection and quality control processes.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in quality department operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with document control standards and protocols.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, and SAP.
- Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 standards and quality management systems (QMS) preferred.
- Experience with Rolling Stock or related components is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in metrology tools and measurement techniques.
- Ability to solve complex problems and interpret various types of instructions (written, verbal, diagrams, schedules).
Responsibilities
- Perform complex visual, dimensional, mechanical, and electrical inspections on a variety of components and systems, including first article inspections.
- Prepare and approve inspection reports, charts, and basic statistical analyses to ensure product quality and compliance with QMS, ISO, and SAP standards.
- Lead root cause evaluations and corrective actions using quality tools to support continuous improvement.
- Maintain workspace standards by coordinating tools and supply orders, submitting equipment maintenance requests, and ensuring 6S compliance.
- Use metrology tools for precise measurements and apply problem-solving skills to interpret instructions and resolve non-standard situations.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and accuracy while ensuring clear, thorough documentation of inspection activities.

- High school diploma or GED required.
- Train and mentor less experienced inspectors while working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Clear and legible handwriting for documentation purposes.
- Willingness to travel up to 5%.
