Coordinate patient intake and support data analysis for a telehealth addiction medicine program, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with video-conferencing technology and telehealth platforms.
  • Proficiency with EHR systems, scheduling tools, and standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial non-clinical screenings to determine basic eligibility, explain program offerings, and collect demographic and preliminary clinical information.
  • Coordinate and schedule initial assessment appointments with clinical providers, sending confirmations, reminders, and pre-appointment instructions.
  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues related to telehealth access and provide guidance on telehealth processes.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Generate reports and dashboards on intake metrics, patient demographics, program engagement, and outcomes.
  • Analyze trends in patient inquiries, no-show rates, and completion rates to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, professional development, and adherence to HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new patient inquiries via phone, email, and online forms, providing timely and professional responses.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth patient transitions and efficient program operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in patient intake, scheduling, customer service, or administrative support within healthcare or behavioral health.
  • Compassionate, non-judgmental approach to patient interaction and understanding of substance use disorders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to explain information clearly and empathetically.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for navigating patient and technical challenges.
