Sierra Lobo is looking to solve the technical and management challenges of a large DoD aerospace test facility restoration project, which requires managerial guidance, oversight, and direction of several integrated engineering teams and tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field, plus 15 years’ experience, or equivalent experience/education combination as determined by management.
- Significant experience in the management and/or supervision of an engineering program, or series of engineering projects.
- Demonstrated excellence in the performance, development, and/or execution of solutions to technical and operational problems unique to facilities engineering work, including mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems.
- Ability to use own judgment and analysis to make programmatic decisions, sometimes with limited and/or conflicting information.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite software including Word, Excel, and MS Project.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance at a future date.
- Management certification and/or degree, such as MBA or PMP
Responsibilities
- Manage and direct team of IPT Leads assigned to each system/segment of the facility restoration project.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate the activities of personnel engaged in specific technical function(s).
- Coordinate with PMO Manager for appropriate PMO support to each IPT team, such as procurement, subcontracting, IT support, security, and financial reporting.
- Coordinate with Resource Manager to adjust staffing levels as required to meet program and project objectives.
- Work within the confines of the contract, supporting the monitoring of labor, materials and ODC such as travel and training using web based tools.
- Assist in developing strategic and creative solutions to meet customer needs, which include significant time constraints.
- Develop training plan and assure personnel are current on required certification to engage in a specific technical function.

- Must be self-motivated and a “Team Player” with excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Must be able to organize time, assignments, delegations, and properly prioritize efforts for maximum effectiveness.
- Must be capable of passing required physical examinations and successfully completing assigned training or other training or certifications as directed by SLI or Government procedures and management.
- Regular daily attendance and reporting on time is required to maintain shift effectiveness.
- Work on holidays and weekends (scheduled and unscheduled), and shift work may be required.
