The Interaction and Human Factors team at Apple is looking to research and build the next generation of sensor-based human-computer interactions
Requirements
- Experience building interactive prototypes with machine learning technologies
- Proficiency with scripting, data processing, data visualization and/or numerical analysis
- Algorithm and mathematics fundamentals in statistics, signal processing, machine learning, and state machine design
- Knowledge of software architecture design patterns, particularly for real-time sensor processing and interfaces
- Experience working with sensor data such as image, video, input devices, audio, etc.
- Experience developing interactive prototypes or applications
Responsibilities
- Identify novel human-sensing interaction concepts and build them into interactive prototypes
- Develop software for human research, including measurement systems and data logging for small-scale studies
- Establish success criteria and technology requirements for new interactions through prototyping, user studies, and data analysis
- Present and demo insights to engineering and design to inform key product decisions
Other
- 3+ years experience working in a relevant field
- Master’s or doctorate degree in computer science, human-computer interaction, interaction design, or other relevant area
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field
- Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams in engineering and design
