Gensler is looking for an Interior Designer to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients, collaborating with teammates to develop design solutions and coordinate design through construction documentation and administration.
Requirements
- Proficient with Revit, SketchUp, 3D, Enscape, and other modeling software programs, such as Rhino, Grasshopper and/or Dynamo
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign a must)
- Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications
- Strong knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications
- Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas
- Demonstrated commitment to resilience and sustainable building practices

Responsibilities
- Perform interior design assignments that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentation
- Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting
- Generate floor plans, finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction
- Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts
- Responsible for Construction Documentation and Construction Administration, supporting the delivery of the project design intent
- Work on multiple teams and support concurrent projects in varying phases of project delivery
- Manage external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators
Other
- 3-7 years of commercial interior design experience – ideally for Workplace, Hospitality or Mixed Use projects
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited university
- LEED AP is preferred
