HGA is seeking an innovative and energetic Interior Designer to join their growing Santa Monica team to collaborate with a talented, multidisciplinary team that’s shaping inspiring environments.
Requirements
- Knowledge of interior design concepts, materials, and furnishing requirements – including concepts, practices, standards and principles
- Knowledge of applicable codes (city, state, federal)
- Knowledge of finish materials, FF&E selection and specification, interior design components for millwork / casework and construction detailing
- Proficiency in Revit
- Strong 2D and 3D graphic skills essential
- Fluent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office suite
Responsibilities
- develop design presentation materials and supporting graphics, including renderings
- support team on visioning, design, programming and space planning to assess client and project needs
- participate in data gathering, visioning and project implementation
- create space plan layouts
- research materials and concepts to support design team on influencing interior design concept development
- develop concepts into detailed construction drawings and work with larger team to produce construction documentation and materials specifications
- select and specify furniture; collaborating and directing the work of furniture vendor partners
Other
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Interior Design / Interior Architecture program
- 3 to 4 years of interior design experience
- On the path or in possession of professional licensure and/or certification
- Strong communication, presentation, and time management skills
- Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and prioritize appropriately in a fast-paced environment
