UPMC is looking to support Patient Access in reporting needs in the new Epic Bridges environment by developing and supporting solutions that turn data into actionable information, enabling data-driven decisions.
Requirements
- SQL experience
- Experience with BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau.
- Experience with report writing tools such as Microsoft SSRS, Business Objects, Cognos, etc.
- Microsoft SSIS
- Ability to understand complex technical concepts.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, and data management best practices.
- Preferred knowledge of clinical workflow in hospital, ambulatory and post-acute environments.
Responsibilities
- Develops and supports solutions that turn data into actionable information, enabling data driven decisions for UPMC.
- Creates and maintains reports and dashboards, moving data output from existing static content to interactive visualizations.
- Performs analytics within business intelligence tools.
- Focus on the design, development, implementation and maintenance of enterprise BI and reporting platforms.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Document BI solutions, including data models, ETL processes, technical specifications, and end-user documentation.
- Troubleshoot and debug BI solutions to ensure smooth operations and accurate data.
Other
- Hybrid work environment for the Bridges project, expected to be onsite one partial week a month.
- On call rotation for off hour issues.
- Form relationships with end users and peers with IT on standard reporting, custom requests, and enhancement/optimization projects.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements and translate them into technical requirements, visualization and interactive reports.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
