North Stone is seeking an intermediate-level .NET Developer to support a modernization project for a U.S. Air Force contract data management system. The current system is built in Microsoft Access, and this role will focus on migrating legacy data, tables, and workflows into a modern architecture.
Requirements
- Familiarity with ETL tools, PowerShell, for data transformation.
- Understanding of XML validation, namespaces, and schema evolution.
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills within Visual Studio.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and handling of sensitive contract or financial data
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain .NET scripts and applications to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from Microsoft Access databases.
- Convert legacy database structures, relationships, and workflows into XML schemas and files for ingestion into the new system.
- Analyze existing Access forms, queries, and macros to understand business logic and replicate or optimize these processes in .NET.
- Collaborate with data architects and system engineers to ensure successful data migration, validation, and integration.
- Write and maintain technical documentation for scripts, data models, and workflows.
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of .NET code and XML outputs.
- Adhere to Air Force and DoD security and coding standards, ensuring compliance with all data handling and protection requirements.
