IBM Research is looking to advance the development of quantum computing systems and the datacenter networking infrastructure by hiring interns who can learn new quantum engineering techniques and incorporate them into work processes for building the next generation of quantum computers.
Requirements
- Computer science or EE
- Proficient in Linux
- Automation knowledge - Ansible/Python
- Understanding of API's
- Desire/interest to work in the field of computer networking/security
- General networking/security knowledge
- Understanding of SNMP
Responsibilities
- Advance the development of quantum computing systems and the datacenter networking infrastructure
- Learn new quantum engineering techniques and incorporate those principles into work processes for building the next generation of quantum computers
- help with network setup, testing and verification
- be familiar with network monitoring software
- Have the ability to gather monitoring data from other hardware components and derive trends from the data
