IBM Research ETE organization will provide the buildout of systems in the POK building 008 datacenter.
Requirements
- System building/debugging/testing skills
- System Engineering experience in Linux and Microsoft Windows
- System automation tools (ansible)
- Software engineering practices including agile techniques
- Experience with Dell Systems platform management
- Systems Engineer certification in Linux and Microsoft
- Network Engineering skills
Responsibilities
- installing new servers in accordance with IBM security standards and project/operational requirements.
- Maintaining and improving compliant processes and procedures for; installation, configuration, operations, maintenance and support.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, key system processes, and reviewing system / application logs.
- Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
- Investigate and troubleshoot, repair and recover from hardware or software failures.
- Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.
- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, upgrade administrative tools and utilities as necessary.
