Delek US Holdings is looking to solve business and technical problems in their refineries by hiring Engineering Interns to support initiatives and improve supply chain performance and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of industrial equipment
- Familiarity with SDS and safety protocols in a mechanical environment
- Solid software application skills, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Currently pursuing Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or related field within Engineering
- Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.00
- Ability to record and present data in a clear and concise manner
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot equipment and determine root cause and take corrective action to resolve system failures
- Participate in technical investigations, design, and analysis of the performance of the various equipment to identify deficiencies, antiquation, and the potential for benefits and improvements working with experienced and knowledgeable fellow engineers
- Develops, selects, and tests equipment and their components to evaluate/select best in class and technology systems
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and fellow engineers on equipment problem solving through root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and effective solutions to prevent root cause
- Oversee the equipment such as mechanical and/or instrumentation to generate critical equipment list, update P&ID’s, and equipment specifications
- Plan, design, and write specifications for process equipment
- Create and prepare reports, type documents, and file

- Currently pursuing Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or related field within Engineering
- Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.00
- Availability to work at least 40 hours a week
- Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
