GM Financial is looking for an intern to implement highly available and secure cloud technologies, continuously monitor and optimize cloud implementations, and collaborate with other teams to support and improve cloud-hosted environments.
Requirements
- Build secure cloud solutions in major public clouds such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
- Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving, and conceptual skills required.
Responsibilities
- Build secure cloud solutions in major public clouds such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services
- Collaborate with product owners and managers to establish service level objectives for applications and agreed consequences if the objectives are not being met
- Collaborate with development team members to swarm, troubleshoot, and resolve problems that may exist in cloud-hosted environments.
- Implement highly available and secure cloud technologies
- Continuous monitoring and optimization of the cloud implementation for efficiencies
- Continuous support of, and collaboration with, other teams and projects, particularly DevOps, platform, and automation teams.
Other
- Must be a current student pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or related major with at least one semester remaining upon start of the internship.
- Must possess a minimum of a 3.0 (out of a 4-point scale) overall GPA.
- Junior or Senior classification preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required. This incumbent will be required to give presentations and communicate with business leaders.
- Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work independently or in a team setting.
- Previous internships are considered a plus.
