At Tradeweb, we’re constantly moving forward and innovating in the electronic trading market, and this internship is looking to solve the business problem of developing and maintaining the software layer that handles user interactions from the user interface and our core trading system.
Requirements
- A good understanding of C++ or Python, with a solid grasp of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
- A desire to learn and understand, you thrive when studying and mastering complex concepts
- A keen problem solver, no problem is too big for you
- Ability to take ownership of his/her work, working both independently and within a small team
- A passion for technology
- Strong communication skills in English both verbal and written
- Ability to work 9 weeks on-site in Tradeweb’s offices
Responsibilities
- Work with our technologists and business experts to gain practical, hands-on experience
- Get involved with the products and services the firm is working on
- Report to one of our application developers who became a full-time employee through Tradeweb’s 2023 Internship Program
- Work on the software layer that handles user interactions from the user interface and our core trading system
- Control business logic and ensure the best user experience possible
- Take ownership of his/her work, working both independently and within a small team
- Participate in project-based work and interactive outings and projects
Other
- In your final or penultimate year of an undergraduate or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field at time of application
- Strong communication skills in English both verbal and written
- Ability to work 9 weeks on-site in Tradeweb’s offices from 29th June to 28th August
- Ability to take ownership of his/her work, working both independently and within a small team
