CPS Energy's IT Services Admin internship program aims to address the rapidly changing workforce needs of the industry by providing San Antonio College students with hands-on experience, expanding their understanding of the industry, and exposing them to essential skills for success. The program seeks to help interns learn to perform in a work environment and understand the rationale behind IT strategies.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of MEMCM (SCCM), OSD, MDT, Intune, SNOW, Service Now, SharePoint, and M365 administration.
- Knowledge of SQL, SSRS, Power BI, M365 Suite, AD, Group Policy, Certificate Services, IIS, and Scripting.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining software and programs for managing Information Technology assets.
- Identify and manage processes for tracking, updating, quality assurance, and reporting from IT asset records and databases.
- Responsible for configuring and supporting Microsoft-based infrastructure, enterprise application installation, configuration, design, and troubleshooting.
- Consult with support teams, help desks, customers, and other technical staff in the resolution of problems, coordinate and operate maintenance activities for workstations, identify recurring issues, and recommend steps to reduce the severity or frequency of problems.
- Manage and maintain area systems that include inventory, licensing, patching, deployment, and reporting.
- Provide data analysis and reporting on various processes, including update compliance, computer hardware, mobile hardware, software utilization, and other areas as required.
- Responsible for managing software availability to support groups and customers.
Other
- Applicants must reside in the San Antonio Metropolitan area and are currently enrolled in school or recently graduated to qualify.
- Must be currently enrolled in a related discipline.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Must currently reside within 120 miles of CPS Energy Headquarters.
- Demonstrated leadership potential.
