ACCO is looking for a Project Group Intern to assist with project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management, and the coordination of design and installation with various departments.
Requirements
- Coursework towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering / Environment Engineering or Construction Management
- Prior intern experience with HVAC and/or engineering consulting preferred but not required
- Excellent understanding of Engineering fundamentals
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar drafting software)
Responsibilities
- assist with project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management and problem solving.
- Surveying existing buildings (for retrofits), identifying opportunities for improvement
- Assisting in completing preliminary designs, proposal data, and costs.
- Collaborating with our Purchasing Department regarding price, delivery, and other specs for purchased items.
- Assisting in coordinating installation procedures among Engineering, Construction, and other stakeholders.
- Assisting in writing letters, memos, contracts, change orders, and other documents related to the project.
- Assisting with estimation

- Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
- This is a non-exempt position from Monday through Friday. Work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm with one-hour break for lunch and two rest breaks. Eight hours per day is required and other occasional overtime may be necessary per business
