ACCO is looking for a Project Group Intern to assist with project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management, and the coordination of design and installation with various departments.

Requirements

  • Coursework towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering / Environment Engineering or Construction Management
  • Prior intern experience with HVAC and/or engineering consulting preferred but not required
  • Excellent understanding of Engineering fundamentals
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar drafting software)

Responsibilities

  • assist with project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management and problem solving.
  • Surveying existing buildings (for retrofits), identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Assisting in completing preliminary designs, proposal data, and costs.
  • Collaborating with our Purchasing Department regarding price, delivery, and other specs for purchased items.
  • Assisting in coordinating installation procedures among Engineering, Construction, and other stakeholders.
  • Assisting in writing letters, memos, contracts, change orders, and other documents related to the project.
  • Assisting with estimation

  • The employee is occasionally required to reach above shoulder height to access storage cabinets and shelves.
  • Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • This is a non-exempt position from Monday through Friday. Work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm with one-hour break for lunch and two rest breaks. Eight hours per day is required and other occasional overtime may be necessary per business
