The Continuous Improvement Intern will be responsible for leading department level initiatives that directly impact the strategic goals of RENK America by identifying and eliminating waste through the application of lean and six sigma methodologies.
Requirements
- Experience utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile techniques
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office
Responsibilities
- Use of Lean tools defining gaps between current state / future state and create action plans
- Analyze data and metric performance to prioritize improvement events that directly affect favorable division performance
- Create visual standards and management key performance indicators to drive an environment of continuous improvement
- Collaborate with a variety of departments throughout the facility to map business process flow, document inputs and outputs, and identify areas for waste reduction
Other
- Must be enrolled in an acredited program and pursuing a degree in Engineering, Operations, Lean, Supply Chain Management, or related field with a Jr. or Sr. status and a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must have the ability to obtain a clearance which typically requires a U.S. Citizenship and a clean background check.
