Howmet Aerospace is seeking an Intern – CyberSecurity to gain experience in Cyber Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Cyber investigations, Vulnerability Management (VM) and Cyber Incident Response, contributing to the Corporate Information Security team by reviewing incidents, alerts, and investigations, and collaborating on responses and technical reports.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Project experience with security tools or procedures
Responsibilities
- Assist with digital investigation and forensic analysis
- Support maintenance of the company’s Data Protection Program
- Review the logs and alerts for our security tools including SIEM, DLP, and EDR
- Manage the removable media guidelines and support ongoing issues
- Collaborating responses to these events and writing detailed technical reports
- Learn the day-to-day operations of a cybersecurity analyst
- Learn the industry standards, procedures, and technologies
Other
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity with an expected graduation date in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or equivalent
- Demonstrated internship, work, research, or extracurricular participation
- Involved with at least 1 extracurricular activity
- Interns must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Ability to manage projects and working within team in a fast-paced environment
- Previous internship in Information Technology with a global employer
