Autodesk is seeking a Data Engineering Intern to join their AIDA team to build the next generation of scalable data solutions that power insights, analytics, and AI-driven decision-making across the company.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of Python programming and experience writing clean, efficient code.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL able to write queries for data analysis and transformation.
  • Familiarity with data concepts such as ETL, data modeling, and data APIs.
  • Interest in or exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Curiosity to explore how AI can enhance data pipelines and decision-making.
  • Knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CD concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of data pipelines using Python and SQL.
  • Support integration and transformation of data from multiple sources (APIs, cloud storage, SaaS systems).
  • Work with engineers to enhance data quality, lineage, and observability in production pipelines.
  • Contribute to developing and optimizing data models that support analytics and data solutions.
  • Learn and apply cloud data engineering concepts using platforms like AWS, Azure, or Snowflake.
  • Participate in building AI-driven data solutions for intelligent automation, anomaly detection, and data enrichment.
  • Document and present technical findings, contributing to internal best practices and reusable components.

Other

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn from a collaborative team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and platform engineers to support ongoing initiatives.
  • The 2026 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 18 – August 7 or June 15 – September 4).
  • All internships are paid.
