RTX's Pratt & Whitney is seeking an analytics and data engineer to join the Diagnostics, Prognostics & Health Management (DPHM) team. This role will focus on developing systems that ingest aircraft and flight data, tools for analysis, and analytics to provide critical results and alerts for fleet health management, ultimately aiming to keep the fleet flying smoothly and support onboard FADEC software improvements.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Python, AWS Services, CI/CD, Elasticsearch / OpenSearch, SQL, Apache Spark
- Familiarity with modern data analysis and signal processing techniques.
Responsibilities
- Analytics development using statistical analysis, physics-based models, and artificial intelligence efforts applied to operational fleet data.
- Deploying algorithms to customer facing systems to drive engine maintenance and improve fleet health.
- Integrating external or new datasets into existing data pipelines.
- Developing analytics & performing fleetwide analysis to support onboard FADEC software improvements.
- Continuously monitoring and testing the system to ensure optimized performance.
Other
- Enrolled in a degree program in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or related field
- Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Knowledge of gas turbine engines and their operation.
- Knowledge of and exposure to aerospace control and diagnostic systems.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
