Micron Technology is looking for interns to gain hands-on experience in developing and optimizing etch processes for the next generation of Micron's memory parts, tackling challenging tactical and technical problems to meet the demands of their fast-paced and dynamic development environment.
Requirements
- Experience in experimental design and data analysis.
- Proficiency in statistics, preferably in statistical process control.
- Experience in programming or scripting is desirable.
- Knowledge of semiconductor processing, solid-state device physics, and of dry etch processing or plasma physics is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Developing etch processes to meet the physical and electrical requirements of Micron’s products.
- Collaborating with other process and equipment team members to drive process improvements.
- Conducting root cause and failure mode analysis to understand the limitations of current processes.
- Performing fundamental research to drive innovative solutions for next-generation products.
- Performing statistical data analysis on a technology development pilot manufacturing line.
Other
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to resolve complex issues through root-cause or model-based problem solving.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal direction, and a focus on meeting commitments.
- Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously.
- Currently pursuing a M.S./Ph.D. (or equivalent education) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or other related technical fields.
- Must be a current student, must not graduate before September 2026.
