Dover Food Retail is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join their team for the summer to assist engineering/operations management with research, modeling, design, and/or engineering documentation.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and design processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Python, MATLAB).
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards or regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Previous internship or project experience.
Responsibilities
- Guided by structural goals and objectives you will have responsibility to deliver on inspiring projects and will be assigned to a technical project in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering
- Assist engineers with design, analysis, testing, and documentation of engineering projects.
- Perform data collection and analysis using software tools such as Excel, MATLAB, or CAD programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project tasks and support day-to-day engineering activities.
- Contribute to the creation of technical drawings, models, and schematics.
- Participate in team meetings, project reviews, and presentations.
- Maintain organized records of work and ensure proper documentation practices.
Other
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline).
- Completion of at least 1 year of college coursework.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
