The City of Greeley is seeking a part-time, term-limited Data Science Intern to support projects that enhance digital services and improve operational efficiencies through data-driven insights.
Requirements
- Programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Proficiency in developing and deploying data-driven applications and analysis tools to support city operations.
- Experience with various data analysis tools.
- Experience implementing GIS solutions for providing location-based services and data visualization.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to navigate multiple online data and analytics platforms.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multiple departments to collect, analyze, and interpret data to support various city projects and initiatives.
- Develop and implement data-driven solutions to address departmental needs, ensuring alignment with user requirements and business objectives.
- Utilize GIS tools for developing location-based services and data visualizations to enhance decision-making across departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions meet user needs and organizational goals.
- Monitor and analyze data solution performance, making adjustments and improvements as necessary to optimize results.
- Develop reports and validate data accuracy to provide insights and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Establish a framework for continuous improvement in data processes and methodologies.
