The Information Technology Internship aims to support the organization's mission by ensuring smooth technology operations to enable effective program delivery and administrative functions.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking concepts
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools
- Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, etc.) (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of cyber security principles (preferred)
- Fluency in English reading, writing, speaking, and listening
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and data security
Responsibilities
- Assist IT staff in day-to-day technical support for employees.
- Help maintain and troubleshoot computers, printers, and other office equipment.
- Provide support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install and configure computer systems and applications.
- Assist in maintaining IT asset inventory and proper documentation.
- Support the on boarding process by preparing technology and accounts for new users.
- Help monitor system backups, updates, and security protocols.
Other
- Actively enrolled in any applicable major or a certification program at an accredited college
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn and gain knowledge in information technology
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and provide clear communication to non-technical users
- Strong organizational skills and a willingness to learn
