Lumen Technologies is exploring methods to integrate Low Earth Orbit (LEO) technology into their network to reach locations where Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) may not be feasible. This involves studying different approaches for LEO integration and conducting field studies under various conditions, as well as investigating how to bond multiple Starlink connections into a single internet connection.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of OSI model
- Experience with NAT and firewall configuration
- Knowledge of wireless networking principles
- Ability to design, execute, and document test plans
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Skillset to utilize spectrum analyzer usage is a plus for this position

- Intern must be available to work full time (40 hours/week) during the 10-week program
- Program Dates: May 29 – August 7, 2026.
- This position is fully remote / work from home in the continental US.
- US Work Authorization required for this role.
- Program eligibility is contingent on the candidate’s commitment to the entire 10-week program. No exceptions will be made.
- Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship.
