L3Harris is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to assist in the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes and systems within their Aerojet Rocketdyne segment, aiming to improve production efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness for aerospace and defense customers.
Requirements
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Catia or NX) and other engineering tools.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with aerospace and mechanical engineering principles.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve production efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Utilize engineering principles from aerospace and mechanical engineering to solve complex manufacturing challenges.
- Conduct research and analysis to support the development of new manufacturing technologies and techniques.
- Participate in the creation and implementation of process improvements and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues to ensure smooth production operations.
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation, including process flow diagrams, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.

- Candidate must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in an Engineering discipline and be returning to school upon completion of the assignment.
