Decker Coal is looking for a Surface Mine Electrician to perform electrical work on large mobile mining equipment, troubleshoot electrical systems, and ensure compliance with safety policies.
Requirements
- MSHA certification for low, medium, and high voltage
 
- 1 year experience performing mine electrical work
 
- Knowledge of safe operation of electrical tools (meters) for troubleshooting energized/de-energized equipment
 
- Ability to interpret schematic's
 
- Basic understanding of DATA Q for troubleshooting 1570 dragline loops
 
- Portable substations - Ability to safely maintain substations, knowledge of grounding procedure, trailing cable maintenance and troubleshooting
 
- Euclid R170 ton motorized wheel propulsion trucks. Maintenance and trouble shooting
 
Responsibilities
- Perform all basic electrical work
 
- De-energizing large mobile mining equipment according to the isolation/lockout standards
 
- Trouble-shoot electrical systems
 
- Install electrical conduit
 
- Read and interpret Blueprints
 
- Knowledge of safe operation of electrical tools (meters) for troubleshooting energized/de-energized equipment
 
- Ability to interpret schematic's

- Performs all duties in compliance with Company safety policies.
